4 easy steps to enable the battery charge meter on your iPhone

When you buy a new iPhone, if you don’t change any settings, the battery image on the status bar does not show how much charge is left in the battery. It only shows an image of the battery with an approximation of the remaining charge. This is less useful than an proper display that shows the actual percentage left correctly.

The good news is that is very simple to enable it, so that the remaining battery charge is displayed like in the above image. It will take less than a minute if you follow these four simple steps.

  1. Start the “Settings” App
  2. Touch General
  3. Touch Usage
  4. If you scroll to the bottom you will notice that the ‘Battery Percentage’ is “Off”. Slide it to the “On” position, and the percentage will now show up.
That’s it!
